SSI recognizes that an Advanced Open Water Diver is an diver with four specialties and 24 logged dives. We recommend every Advanced Diver should be Deep, Navigation, Night/Limited Visibility, and Enriched Air Nitrox certified. Our classes are small-usually no more than eight to a class-and are scheduled with you in mind.
Enriched Air Nitrox is a higher O2 content giving the ability to have longer bottom time and shorter surface intervals. Nitrox also increases safety margins while diving. This course is recommened for any diver eager to enhance their diving experince.
Be prepared for those unexpected emergencies. This course will teach you about accident prevention and how to handle sitituations that may occur before, during, and after the dive. You will learn how to recognize, solve, and avoid problems on the surface and underwater.
Scuba Skills Update will review the knowlege you learned in your Open Water Diver class as well as cover any new material. You will review dive planning, dive tables and dive execution to keep you safe during future diving activities. Head to the pool and practice all of your skills with a Dive Professional in a safe and confined area.
